Neeuro received the Silver Award for Best Innovative Startup by the Singapore Infocomm Technology Federation (SiTF) during the SiTF Awards Gala Night in Singapore's Raffles City Convention Centre.
The SiTF Awards, established in 2009, recognizes made-in Singapore companies which take the effort to innovate their businesses through the adoption of technology. Judged by the luminaries of the Infocomm Media (ICM), together with venture capitalists, investors, and academe, the Best Start-Up award is based on the team's breakthrough technology, mastery of technology knowledge, vision, strategies, and passion.
Neeuro's Silver Award was accepted by its CEO and Co-Founder Dr. Alvin Chan, who presented to the distinguished panel a clear model that shows that the high-technology wearable, which when paired by a gaming app called Memorie, helps measure cognitive activity when the brain is being exercised. Deemed as the new brain-training solution, the technology aims to promote a healthier mind both for the young and old. Founded by neuroscientists and engineers, the company focuses on neurotechnology and gamification as essential tools for cognitive improvement. Chairman & Founder Eddie Chau was present as well.
SiTF Awards 2015 Guest of Honor Dr. Yaacob Ibrahim, Minister for Communication and Information, congratulated Neeuro and the rest of the winning companies who definitely contribute to Singapore's Smart Nation Programme, which seeks to harness ICT, networks, and data to support better living, create more opportunities, and to support stronger communities.
