Beta waves frequencies enable conscious thought and logical thinking. They can elicit a stimulating effect which allows the brain to focus. You are alert and wide awake, making decisions, with your brain producing higher-speed beta waves, which measure between 12 and 35 Hz.
Gamma waves are involved in cognitive functioning, information processing, learning, solving problems, and memory. These waves are very high frequency, where the brain produces the fastest of brain waves. These measure upward of 35 Hz.
